SEC EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT II

(Formerly SEC Executive Assistant)

The SEC Executive Assistant II shall perform the following functions:

1. Manage/administer the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Chairperson, pursuant to


instructions in order to free the latter of decision-making and policy-

making/review/enforcement.


2. Exercise supervision, on behalf of the Chairperson, over the various SEC departments and

special offices under the purview of the Chairperson.

3. Decide, for and on behalf of the Chairperson, matters not requiring personal attention by

the Chairperson.

4. Provide overall coordination in the operation of the Office of the Chairperson.

5. Determine and assign matters to the appropriate departments and/or offices of the SEC.

6. Provide consultative, research, fact-finding and advisory service for the Chairperson.

7. Assist the Chairperson in the administration of special projects.

8. Support/assist the Chairperson in his interface with the SEC Executive Offices (Office of the

Commissioners), Special Offices/Departments, Extension Offices, other government offices

and the general public.

9. Provide technical, policy and/or legal advice on issues related to matters handled by the

supervised departments of the Chairperson.

10. Vet documents before the Chairperson signs the same.

11. Represent the Chairperson as his/her alternate in both internal and external Committees as

may be necessary.

12. Liaise with other government agencies and multilateral agencies on matters of mutual

interest.

13. Review policy documents and technical materials for both internal and external

engagements.

14. Handle complaints/inquiries requiring attention and appropriate action from the Office

of the Chairperson.

15. Draft letters, memoranda, speeches, Powerpoint presentations and other documents as

needed and instructed by the Chairperson.

16. Attend official meetings as necessary and instructed by the Chairperson.

17. Participate in the deliberations of the Personnel Selection Board, as may be delegated by the

Chairperson.

18. Recommend measures to increase the efficiency of the Office of the Chairperson to provide

an efficient and productive public service.

19. Ensure and comply with the requirements of Freedom of Information rules and Data

Privacy Act and its implementing rules and regulations; and

20. Perform such other functions as may be directed by the Chairperson.
